1951 National League Champion NY Giants Team-Signed Baseballs (5)
They rode Bobby Thomson's "Shot Heard Round the World" to the National League Pennant before losing the World Series to the hated crosstown rival Yankees. The 1951 Giants remain one of the most memorable baseball clubs, and these five team-signed balls come directly from the NL Champs. They average 20 signatures each, and are nearly identical. Notable names include: Leo Durocher, Bobby Thomson, Monte Irvin, Wes Westrum, Bill Rigney, Sal Maglie and more. Artie Wilson appears on all five. The overall condition of the balls averages 5.0, with signatures averaging 6.5. The Official American League (Harridge) or Official National League (Frick) balls come with their original Spalding ball bags, and there are handwritten inventory numbers on the balls, which originate from the collection of John O'Connor.
