1951 Topps Ringside Boxing Collection (500+)

1951 Topps Ringside Boxing Collection (500+)

Topps' first (and only) attempt at boxing cards was in 1951 with their 96-card Ringside boxing set. The exceptional artwork, the inclusion of boxing greats from all eras, and relative scarcity has always made this set one of boxing-card collecting's premier issues. The offered collection contains 500+ Ringside cards, in grades ranging from NM (5%) to GD-VG (15%); the majority of cards present as EX to EX-MT (50%) or VG-EX (30%). Boxing stars present include John L. Sullivan (4), Jim Braddock (1) and Ezzard Charles (4); missing #’s 19, 31, 32, 34, 36, 42, 43, 48, 49, 50, 55, 56, 59, 61, 67, 78, 83, 88 and 95 to complete a set, but multiples of many cards are included. A great start to assembling multiple sets of Topps’ premier (and only) boxing issue.
