1952 American League All Star Team Signed Baseball (JSA)
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt; background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; color: #333333;">Official American League baseball signed in blue or black ink by the following twenty-four members of the 1952 American League All-Star team: Rizzuto (sweet spot), Paige (signature is faded), Berra (twice), Lemon, Fox, Joost, Rosen, Garcia (twice), Yost, Minoso, E. Robinson, Shantz, Wertz (twice), Fain, Turner (coach), Dom DiMaggio, Jensen, Avila, Hegan, Raschi, Reynolds, McDougald, Bauer, and Mitchell. Also featured on the ball are the signatures of Charlie Silvera (probably as a bullpen catcher) and A's pitcher Alex Kellner (the game was played at Shibe Park). An inscription on the sweet spot reads "To my friend Hank - Bob Bauman." (Bob Bauman was the longtime trainer for the St. Louis Cardinals.) The additional notation "All Star '52" appears on the ball label, while the number “17” is written in red ink on a side panel.
