This quirky piece was worn by Clarence "Bud" Podbielan during the 1952 season, in the midst of his four-year tenure with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The wool flannel top has a tag in the collar from Rawlings, St. Louis, and is a size 42 in the road gray with the familiar script "Dodgers" in felt lettering across the front. His name is misspelled "C Podbelian" in script on the tail, and while he wore #40 as a Dodger, the number 52 is stitched below the name. In addition, the top is all original but for the number on the back - it was changed from a "40" to its current "50" when he was sent to the minors. Shows nice use but has no tears or holes.
