1953 World Champion Detroit Red Wings Team-Signed Game Used Stick

This team-signed game used Northland Pro hockey stick is from the 1953-54 Stanley Cup Champion Detroit Red Wings. There is a "Stewart" nameplate on the shaft but it is colored over in black marker, there is tape affixed to the handle and blade, with "Blackie" handwritten on the shaft. It is signed throughout in black ink by 20, including Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay, Terry Sawchuk, Al Arbour, Glen Skov, Carl Mattson (2), Red Kelly, Dutch Reibel, Johnny Wilson, Lefty Wilson, Alex Delvecchio, Marty Pavelich, Metro Prystai, Bill Dineen, Tony Leswick, Bob Goldham, Vic Stasiuk and Benny Woit. Led by an intimidating young sniper named Gordie Howe and goaltender Terry Sawchuk, Detroit went to overtime of the seventh game before winning the Stanley Cup over the legendary Montreal Canadiens.
