1953 World Series Game 1 Signed Game Used Baseball w/Jackie Robinson & Mantle (11 Autos) w/Original Owner's Program and Field Pass (PSA & MEARS)
Signed game used ball dates from Game 1 of the 1953 World Series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees, played at Yankee Stadium. Official American League (Harridge) ball is in appropriate condition for being used in a game, and has handwritten "World Series, Yankees vs. Dodgers, Sept 30. 1953" in unknown hand on label. Signed by (11): Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Jack Dempsey, President William Harridge (ss), Yogi Berra, Johnny Mize, Joe Collins, Tom Gorman, Irv Noren, Gil McDougald, and Jim McDonald. The presence of Harridge and Dempsey's signatures suggest the ball was signed after the game, potentially in the clubhouses. Sigs rate 7.5/10 overall with Jackie rating a strong 8/10 and Harridge rating 9/10. Comes with a red field pass good for Games 1, 2, 6, and 7, nicely die-cut and measuring roughly 3x4.75", unmarked and very clean. Also included is a World Series program, unscored and well-preserved, in EX-NM condition. (Please note that Wikipedia lists Game 1 as being on September 29, however multiple sources confirm the date as September 30.) Comes with PSA and Beckett LOAs for autographs, and MEARS LOA for game use.
