Signing on the sweet spot: Hall of Famer Al Lopez (Indians' manager), and Hall of Famer Hal Newhouser (7-2 in '54), Other Hall of Famers: Bob Feller (13-3), Larry Doby (the American League's first African American, who batted .300, with 32 homers and 126 RBIs), and Bob Lemon (23-7 on the pennant winners).
