1954 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball (Kluszewski Collection)
The hitters got the better of the pitchers during the 1954 All-Star Game in Cleveland, which saw the host American League out-slug their National League counterparts, 11-9, establishing a record for runs in a Midsummer Classic. This high-grade, official American League (Harridge) baseball is signed by 28 National League All-Stars, including Jackie Robinson, Erskine, Grimm, Klu, Snider, Reese, Alston, Mays, Musial, Campanella, Bell, Durocher, Hodges, Roberts, Dark, Schoendienst and more. There is an asterisk drawn on the label, and the ball is EX-MT to NRMT with signatures averaging 8/10. It belonged to Ted Kluszewski and comes with an LOA from his widow, Eleanor.
