1954 Ty Cobb Autograph on His Personal Stationery
Amazing dated vintage autograph from baseball immortal Ty Cobb. On 4x6" note pad stationery imprinted with Tyrus R. Cobb (in green lettering, of course), it is signed (also in green ink, of course) and inscribed "Ty Cobb 8/27/54." Page has one horizontal fold across the middle with a couple of minor stains and some wrinkling but little, if any, foxing, making for a marvelous presentation. Included is a letter of prominence detailing how the signature was obtained in person at Cobbs residence and was passed to our consignor. Cobb laced out 4,189 career hits with a .366 batting average, securing his place as one of the best to ever pull on a uniform.
