1954 Willie Mays "Catch" World Series Game 1 Ticket
It is known simply as "The Catch." Willie Mays robbed Vic Wertz of a potential home run to dead-center at the spacious Polo Grounds, making an over-the-shoulder grab at full speed with two men on base, helping preserve a 2-2 tie in the top of the eighth inning. This ticket from that unforgettable game is EX-MT and is also signed by Mays in 7.5/10 black Sharpie. Mays' New York Giants went on to win 5-2 on a pinch-hit, three-run blast by Dusty Rhodes. That homer and Mays' catch spring-boarded the Giants to a four-game sweep of the mighty Tribe.
