1955 Battle of Jazz Poster
This outstanding boxing-style poster is dominated by amazing images of Dinah Washington and Chris Connor. The "undercard features The Drifters ("sing Such A Night, Money Honey, Honey Love"), James Moody, Eddie Jefferson and Bill Farrell ("sings Run Around, You’ve Changed, It May Sound Silly"). The concert took place at the Civic Auditorium in Grand Rapids on Saturday, April 9, 1955. The poster measures 28x22" and, other than a horizontal crease running across the bottom, is in excellent condition.
