1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Presentational Mug
The greatest season in Brooklyn Dodgers history was foreshadowed by a then-record 10-0 start that prompted ownership to distribute a token of appreciation to front office employees. That came in the form of this glass-bottomed pewter mug that bears a Schaefer beer logo and the inscription: "COMMEMORATING RECORD SMASHING GET-AWAY 10 IN A ROW BROOKLYN DODGERS 1955." This mug - which is in EX condition - was presented to team photographer Herb Scarfman and bears his name. The 1955 Dodgers lived up to the promise, breaking a long jinx to defeat the hated rival Yankees in the World Series six months later.
