1955 Harry Agganis Signed Karl Wingler Information Sheet
As a member of the Boston Red Sox in the early ‘50’s, first baseman Harry Agannis greatly impressed his teammate Ted Williams, and quickly won the fierce loyalty of Red Sox Fans. Agannis grew up in nearby Lynn, and was a high school and Boston University triple threat in baseball, basketball and football. His promise was tragically cut short when he died of pneumonia in 1955, only 26 years old. This presentation display features a biographical information sheet sent to him by Karl Wingler as a young member of the Boston Red Sox. Answers are handwritten and typed by Harry. Framed with color image of Agannis in his #33 football uniform. Overall size with matting H - 21” X W - 12 3/4”. Excellent original condition, ready for framing.
