1956 Brooklyn Dodgers Tour Of Japan Album
Beautiful metallic cloth covered album with embroidered crane and floral designs (11"x14") was presented to each member of the 1956 Dodgers following their exhibition tour of the Far East. With its cover stamped in gold, "Brooklyn Dodgers-Goodwill Tour Of Japan-Yomiuri Shimbun-Tokyo, Japan, this specimen belonging to pitcher Carl Erskine includes some of the most important images recorded by both teammates and team photographers. Affixed to the heavy stock pages are multiple team photos, action shots taken on field, aerial shots from above, team outings, and much, much more. Light edge wear on cover (EX+), photos are EX-MT and range in size from 4.5"x6.5" to 7"x9" with most being of the larger type.
