1956 Gil Hodges World Series Game Used Bat (35”)

1956 Gil Hodges World Series Game Used Bat (35”)

13 years before he would be hailed, “The Miracle Worker”, Hall of Famer Gil Hodges used this Hillerich & Bradsby S2 while batting in the 1956 World Series for the Brooklyn Dodgers, facing his cross-town foe, the New York Yankees. Although we wouldn’t be able to say which game and for which at-bat he used it, this could very well have been the bat at the plate with Hodges during Game 1, in which he homered to win it for Brooklyn. Shows nice use and stamped on the barrel, “World Series Gil Hodges, Brooklyn Dodgers - 1956.” Uncracked and in fine condition with no splintering or deadwood. Stamped, “S2” on the knob.
