A tremendous player on the ice, Ted Lindsay is undoubtedly more important to hockey for his efforts in creating the first NHL players' union. Lindsay's persistence in fighting for better working conditions and organizing the league's players led to the Detroit Red Wings trading him to the Chicago Black Hawks despite his undeniable talent. This contract is from Lindsay's first year in Chicago for the 1957-58 season.
