Stunning collection of negatives document a brawl brought on by heavyweight Don Drysdale as he earns his reputation as not the only “Barber” to pass through Brooklyn. He has enraged Johnny Logan (and the Milwaukee Braves team) by hitting him with one of those Hall of Fame fastballs who has stormed the mound on June 14, 1957. Drysdale, Logan, Ed Mathews, husky Gil Hodges and Walt Alston are most prominently in on the action of this all out brawl at Ebbets Field. Includes the three original articles from the N.Y. Daily News that these were used to illustrate (big news, it got nearly a full page!). There are a total of 22 negs with three 5x7” and nineteen 2.25”.
