1957 Red Schoendienst World Series Game Bat (35.5")
The Redhead's lumber from the '57 Series, in which he hit .258 in the Braves' stunning 7-game upset of the mighty Yankees. For the Braves, acquiring Shoendienst in a mid-season trade from the Giants was the last link to a title, as the slick fielding second sacker hit .310 for the team and as usual fielded his position flawlessly. Unfortunately, he'd miss the next season when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, but would courageously return after missing 2 years and hit over .300 twice more before beginning a sterling managing career. Louisville Slugger is a specially personalized number, engraved with "World Series 1957, Milwaukee Braves" and his scripted signature. Light use and a gorgeous light coffee color. Bat came directly from Red.
