1957 Walt Alston Game Worn Jersey
Two years after leading the Dodgers to victory over their cross-town foes, Smokey suited up in this phenomenal home white flannel for the Bums’ final tour in Brooklyn. The HOF gamer reads, “Dodgers 54” on the front in blue & red felt lettering, “54” on the verso in blue. All lettering and numbering is original with the exception of the “5”, which was replaced during a stint in the minors. Front left tail tagging is “Rawlings [size] 42.” Alston’s misspelled name, chain-stitched in blue below: “Alson 57.” Nice use, but excellent condition.
