1958 Rocky Colavito Plaque
After batting .303 with 41 home runs (one behind Mickey Mantle's league lead) and 113 runs batted in, Rocky finished third in the AL MVP balloting. He would not go home empty handed though. His .620 slugging average put him atop the AL and earned him this handsome piece of hardware. The gold plaque is engraved, "Maryland Professional Baseball Players Association-Outstanding Player Award-1958-Rocky Colavito-Champion Slugger Of The American League" (the MPBPA is the same organization responsible for distributing the Home Run Crowns each year). Only minor surface scratches prevent this piece from being graded higher than EX+-EX-MT. Obtained directly from Colavito.
