1959 Harvey Kuenn Detroit Tigers Game Worn Uniform - Won Batting Title

1959 Harvey Kuenn Detroit Tigers Game Worn Uniform - Won Batting Title

From the year he won the American League batting title, this vintage Harvey Kuenn road uniform from his last season with the Detroit Tigers is all-original and features matching jersey and pants. The versatile shortstop and outfielder crafted a solid, 15-year playing career that saw him compile a .303 lifetime batting average. The jersey features "DETROIT" across the front in deep navy felt, "7" in the same felt on the back and right sleeve, MacGregor Size 44 tag in the collar and Set 2 1959 flag tag inside the front tail. The matching pants have Size 36 MacGregor tagging in the waist band with Set 2 1959 flag tag. Both the jersey and pants show nice use with minimal staining and a few small holes at the tail area of the jersey. After his retirement in 1966, Kuenn coached and managed in the big leagues, most notably with the Milwaukee Brewers, leading the Brew Crew to the 1982 American League pennant.
