1960 AL All-Star Team Signed Baseball
Prize gemstone from baseball's only All-Star "doubleheader" -- the 1960 Midsummer Classics played only 2 days apart, on July 11th and 13th at KC's Municipal Stadium and Yankee Stadium, with both games taken by the NL. This ball has signatures for 31 frustrated ALers, including HOFers Williams, Berra, Ford, B. Robinson, Aparicio, Fox, Wynn, and manager Al Lopez. (Also a Mickey Mantle clubhouse signature.) Others: Maris, Minoso, Staley, Power, Estrada, Gentile, Kuenn, Howard, Skowron, Lemon, Malzone, Monbouquette, etc. Sigs average 6/10 while the shellacked ball is G with a few thick spots and the stampings rubbed off.
