1960 Ernie Davis All-American Award from Syracuse University
Proclamation from the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce given to Syracuse football legend Ernie Davis on the Ed Sullivan show in 1960. In original spiral binder, the proclamation reads, "Congratulations to Ernie Davis for having been selected first team All American halfback by the American Football Coaches Association. The citizens of Syracuse are proud of your outstanding achievement as an athlete and a sportsman. We also pay tribute to your excellent record as a student and a gentleman. This commendation carries all best wishes for your future from the entire Syracuse Community." Also included is an LOA originally sent to Ed Sullivan dated November 25, 1960; award and letter are signed by Thomas Smith, Syracuse Chamber of Commerce President.
