1960 Mickey Mantle Signed Contract
Signed by Mickey Mantle in appropriate "Yankee" blue ball-point ink and by his notary public, Bernard P. Newstein, in purple felt tip pen. This one-page typed contract from August 29, 1960, tells us that Mantle had appointed Abram Friedman as his attorney to represent him in "all proceedings before the Internal Revenue Service in connection with my income tax returns..." Three light horizontal mailing folds are visible, and the type is clear and easy to read.
