1960s Detroit Tigers Bobbin' Head Doll

1960s Detroit Tigers Bobbin' Head Doll

"Hold that tiger! Hold that tiger!" are lyrics that are oft-repeated in "Tiger Rag." And by possessing this charming 1960s Detroit Tiger bobble head doll, you really can hold that tiger. The 1960s were productive for the Tigers as they finished in the American League first division in every season but '60, and they won the World Series in 1968. The green base of the bobble head and the tiger's green eyes match. The '68 Detroit team had Denny McLain winning 31 games and Mickey Stanley adding 17. Tiger Willie Horton crashed 36 home runs and Norm Cash added 25, and Al Kaline was playing less but was still productive, hitting .287. The bobble head is in excellent condition. The Tiger looks innocent rather than fierce. The bobble head is approximately 6.75" tall. The head still bobbles nicely, and the doll features the iconic Old English letter "D" on both the hat and the jersey. The doll is in NM-MT condition, and it channels great 1960s Tiger nostalgia.
