1960s Mickey Mantle Signed Hartland Statue

1960s Mickey Mantle Signed Hartland Statue

Extraordinary Mickey Mantle signed Hartland Figurine with JSA LOA and original COA. Mantle is batting left-handed, and there is a small detachable bat that he holds. Great likeness of Mantle, Hall of Famer, three-time American League MVP, Triple Crown winner in 1956, and a member of seven New York Yankee World Series winners. From the late 1950s to the 1960s, the Hartland Plastics Company of Hartland, Wisconsin produced 13 different statues of baseball players. They usually sold for between $2 and $4, but today are often worth a hundred times that or more. These statues were sold at stadiums and at retail stores and were wonderfully made, designed from sketches and then made from molds. Next, the statues were hand-painted in great detail. Mantle signed the figurine, circa 1988, on the back of the statue, his first and last names bracketing his number "7." Mantle used a blue felt tip marker, with a bold, neat script. Certification included, number Z64550 on November 22, 2017.
Overall Grade: Original COA/JSA LOA
