1960s Paul Henderson Detroit Red Wings Equipment Trunk

1960s Paul Henderson Detroit Red Wings Equipment Trunk

Despite having an otherwise largely uneventful career, Paul Henderson forever became a legend in Canada by scoring winning goals in the final three games of the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the USSR. This item dates to his playing days with the Detroit Red Wings and came directly from their old home, Olympia Stadium. The equipment trunk is all black, measures 26x18x12.5" and weighs a sturdy 19.5 pounds. The top features the words "DETROIT HOCKEY CLUB" painted white in stencil, with Henderson's "19" also in white stenciled on the front. The metal clasps and hinges are rusty but well functional, and there are signs of wear and some peeling of the exterior layer on the bottom, but the item is generally in Very Good condition.
