1961-62. Mickey Cochrane Checks (2)

Mickey Cochrane was a Hall of Fame catcher who played 13 seasons in the Majors and had a .310 lifetime batting average. He was also a very successful manager, winning the American League pennant for the Detroit Tigers in 1934 as a player-manager, and the World Series for the Tigers in the same roles in 1935. There are two Mickey Cochrane checks. One for $60.00 to Chicago Wesley Memorial Hospital in 1962. The other is to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service in 1961 in the amount of $220. Each check is signed "Gordon S. Cochrane, " Mickey's given name. The 1962 check shows some fading. Otherwise, the checks are in excellent condition.
