1962-63 Johnny Bower Game Used Stick Signed by Stanley Cup Champion Maple Leafs Team
Vintage CCM goalie stick was used by Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Johnny Bower and has his "1" and "BOWER" stamped on the shaft. The straight-bladed artifact has Love & Bennett Ltd. manufacturer's stamp on the shaft of the custom CCM stick, with cloth tape on the heel and blade. We are not sure if the tape on the paddle and butt ends is original, though the blade tape has what could be puck marks. There appear to be 23 signatures scattered across the stick and signatures average around 7/10, though some are faded. Among those included are: Armstrong, Bower, Duff, Hillman, Horton, Kelly, Litzenberger, Mahovlich, Shack, Stewart, and more. Written in marker on the blade is "Toronto Maple Leafs NHL Champions 1962-63. The Leafs won the Cup again the following season and in 1966-67, though that was their most recent one and the drought is currently the longest in the NHL.
