1962 Jack Nicklaus Signed US Open Ticket - Nicklaus' First Professional Victory PSA

Historic ticket to Jack Nicklaus' first professional victory at the 1962 U.S. Open Golf Championship, signed by Nicklaus on the front. PSA has encapsulated the ticket and certified the signature as "Authentic." Nicklaus' signature has been boldly scripted in black marker and grades 9/10. The "Daily Grounds" ticket was issued for the final thirty-six rounds held on Saturday June 16th, which ended with Arnold Palmer and Nicklaus tied for the lead at one under par. Jack Nicklaus, who was just 22 years old at the time, defeated Palmer by three strokes the next day in the 18-hole playoff on Sunday, June 17th, to win the 1962 U. S. Open. In addition to marking the first of his record eighteen Major championships, it was also the first of four U.S. Open wins for the legendary golfer. While 1962 U.S. Open tickets appear at auction from time to time, this is the first signed example we have ever seen, making it a rare and desirable souvenir commemorating the start of the greatest career in golf history. The ticket (2.25x4.25") displays a moderate diagonal crease near the top, as well as a few additional lighter creases. In Very Good condition overall.
