1962 Mickey Mantle Game Used Bat - MVP Season (PSA 9.5)
The third and final of his MVP seasons, Mickey Mantle was a force in 1962, crashing 30 homers and driving in 89 runs despite playing in only 123 games while dealing with an injury. A perfect example from that incredible year, this Hillerich and Bradsby model F108 is 35 inches and 32.2 ounces. It displays outstanding use with ball marks, stitch impressions, cleat marks, blue bat rack paint transfers and a coat of pine tar, as well as a very slight crack on the handle. This bat was originally acquired from a Minnesota Twins bat boy after being cracked by Mantle during a game in 1962 and comes with an additional letter dated 1990 from Michael Montbriand stating such. As further confirmation of the dating period, Mantle only ordered this model in 1962 and 1963. It is accompanied by an LOA and has been given a near perfect score of GU 9.5 by PSA.
