1962 New York Mets Team Signed Baseball with Letter From The Mets
"Can't anybody here play this game" was the title of a book about the 1962 Mets. For good reason. When you go 40-120 you really can't dispute the book's title. First year Mets ball is complete which is very rare. Even rarer is the fact that it comes with a 1962 letter on Mets stationery that reads in part, "Under separate cover we have mailed you the baseball which we had autographed for you." The baseball that is referred to is this one. Unofficial ball has 26 ball-point pen sigs, with Richie Ashburn, Marv Thronberry, Casey Stengel, Gil Hodges, Roger Craig, Joe Pignatano, Frank Thomas, Ed Kranepool, Gene Woodling and the rest of the crew. Ball is EX-MT while signatures average 6/10.
