1963 Rolling Stones Royal Albert Hall Concert Letter
This letter from a Royal Albert Hall official to Stones manager Eric Easton concerning a September 15, 1963 show, and Easton's attached reply, hold great significance -- since the Stones that night actually opened for the Beatles, and at this, their most important gig to date, according to a reviewer, the Hall "fairly shook on its foundations" and "never heard anything to compare with the Stones." The letter dispenses freebies to the show and asks for a playlist. Easton's half-page-sized reply agrees to the Stones' compensation: 35 pounds. Both pieces EX , the letter with gentle fold marks.
