1964-65 Norm Ullman Top Hockey Player Award Plaque

This honor was presented to Hall of Famer Norm Ullman in recognition of his naming as The Hockey News Player of the Year for the 1964-65 season. This plaque has stylized script for The Hockey News on brass across the top, the separate main plate says “Annual Award for Top Player,” and another plate bears the inscription “Norm Ullman – 1964-65.” The Detroit Red Wing’s 42 goals that season was tops in the league. On the strength of his 22-year career, Ullman was inducted into the Hall in 1982 and he was subsequently named as one of the top 100 all-time players by The Hockey News. This plaque is in EX condition.
