1964 "Baseball Has Done It" Book Signed by Jackie Robinson
First-edition and first-rate copy of Jackie's 1964 book "Baseball Has Done It" (Lipincott) with a great Robinson signature inside the front cover. The book, an oral history of baseball and racial integration, reflected Jackie's post-career role as a civil rights activist, with Jackie interviewing players like Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Roy Campanella, Larry Doby, Elston Howard, and Frank Robinson, as well as players from the Negro Leagues and executives like his mentor Branch Rickey and Ford Frick. First editions, especially those with his signature, are rare indeed. Inscription here dated 6/23/64 and reads: "To John with best wishes. I hope you enjoy reading 'Baseball Has Done it'." Signature in blue pen is NRMT. On top of page is a signature from Rachel Robinson as well. Dust jacket is worn but the book itself is EX-MT. From the Robinson family archives.
