1964 Beatles Silk Concert Badge
This press pass came from a freelance photographer who was assigned to cover The Beatles' arrival from the UK for their United States tour in 1964. His first encounter with the legendary band took place on Sept. 12, 1964 in Boston, first at a press conference at the Hotel Madison and then the Boston Garden, where 13,909 frenzied fans screamed through the entire show. White silk ribbon with the word "Beatles" in blue lettering. Also included are the location and the date. Gold, pin-back metal badge on top with the word "Press" in black letters. The Boston Garden show was the 18th stop during a 23-city tour. It's worth noting that the top-tier ticket for this show - a floor seat - cost $5.50. The band would play just one more time in Boston, two years later during their final tour.
