1965 Bruce Springsteen The Castiles Epiphone Guitar
The earliest Bruce Springsteen guitar ever offered for public sale. Epiphone guitar was owned by Castiles member Paul Popkin from his days with Bruce Springsteen's first and original band, The Castiles. However, it was often played by Bruce Springsteen and bandmate George Theiss. Since a band of this type had only a couple of guitars it was often used and passed around from member to member. Therefore, this was often used by Bruce and is one of the earliest guitars he ever used. It is shown in several Castiles promotional photos; therefore there is rich photo authentication of this guitar. Also comes with a photo of this guitar on display at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. Only two Castiles guitars are known to exist. The other is owned by Bruce Springsteen so therefore there is little chance that it will ever be sold. With deference to the deity that is the Born To Run Esquire, this is the finest Bruce Springsteen gui-tar to ever be offered for public sale. Formerly on loan to the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio. It will come with two notarized letters of authenticity, including one from bandmate George Theiss and the other from owner Paul Popkin's brother.
