1965 Mike Lind Game Worn Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey (Steelers COA)

One of the rarest and most attractive durene football uniforms of the 1960’s, this exemplar also represents the inaugural entry of this style into the auction marketplace. Spectacular minimalist design features heavy, jet black nylon durene with gold and black sleeve stripes, and “38” on the front, verso, and sleeves, all sewn-on in gorgeous and thick gold tackle twill numerals. The gold numerals really pop out against the black durene, and the back identifiers are particularly massive. The back flap of the crotch piece was neatly cut to accommodate running back Mike Lind’s preference but the front portion remains completely intact with all six original buttons and looks beautiful. On the inside of the front crotch piece are three tags, completely intact, including “Rawlings 48,” “Do Not Dry Clean,” and, best of all, the local “Pittsburgh Sport Shop, Inc. Athletic Equipment. Pittsburgh, Penna.” in black and green. This jersey exhibits tremendous game wear, including at least ELEVEN TEAM REPAIRS and comes with a letter of provenance from the Pittsburgh Steelers. A killer display piece!

Jersey comes directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
