1965 The Beatles TWA Flight Bag

1965 The Beatles TWA Flight Bag

TWA (Trans World Airlines) did their best to capitalize on the fact that they were responsible for bringing the Beatles back to America for this summer tour. The four Beatles, as well as members of their official touring entourage, were each presented with their own flight bag emblazoned with their names. This bag belonged to Alistair Taylor, a member of that exclusive "inner circle." Hired as Brian Epstein's personal assistant in 1961, Taylor was with the future Beatle's manager when he first saw the group perform at the Cavern. Several days later, on December 13, 1961, Taylor again was witness to history when Epstein signed them to the management contract that changed all of their world's forever. Taylor became known as Apple's "Mr. Fixit" until 1969, when he fell victim to the beginning of the Allen Klein era. The flight bag, constructed of water-resistant material, is in very good condition, especially for its age.
