1966/67 Willie Asbury Game Worn Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey (Steelers COA)

While he played in just three NFL campaigns before moving into the civilian world, Asbury did manage to tally thirteen career touchdowns and a seventy-three yard run in that limited time span. An extremely attractive uniform design, this Batman style road white durene with gold shoulders is highly coveted by uniform collectors. Number “30” is sewn on the front, back, and sleeves in a soft black twill and a delightful “Honus Wagner Co. Sporting Goods/Sand Knit tag resides in the tail, along with a size “50” flap tag. The garment displays very desirable wear from what was no doubt multi-season use, including approximately FIFTEEN TEAM REPAIRS. The shirt does show some discoloration on the sleeves and tail but this does not distract from the overall majesty of the offering and, if anything, probably enhances the overall aesthetics of the piece. Comes with letter of provenance from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jersey comes directly from the Steelers archive and come with an LOA from the Steelers. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Steelers Archives items will be donated to the Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research.
