<p>After his high-profile years as a New York Yankee, Roger Maris closed out his twelve-year Major League career as the starting right fielder on two St. Louis Cardinals World Series teams.The 1967-68 H&B “O16” model bat presented here dates from those last two championship seasons. Uncracked, it measures 35” in length, weighs 33.1 ounces, and exhibits outstanding use with a small chip to the knob, checking, cleat and ball marks, and green bat rack streaks. Furthermore, Rog has placed his initials on the knob in a familiar interlocking format. <span style="font-size: 10pt;">Originally personalized to an adoring fan, the previous owners name was professionally removed and the barrel of the bat reads </span><span style="font-size: 10pt;">“Best Wishes, Roger Maris,” in vintage black marker. Maris has always held a special place in the hearts of baseball fans and collectors alike, most likely the result of his glory years in the Bronx, yeoman work ethic, personal constitution, and early expiration.
