1968 Bob Gibson World Series Record 17 Ks Full Ticket (PSA)
The Cardinals lost a memorable World Series to the Tigers in 1968, the last year of the raised mound in baseball as the pitchers owned the hitters to an extreme degree. One of those pitchers - Bob Gibson - authored perhaps the most dominant season ever, pitching to an obscene 1.12 ERA and establishing a World Series record by whiffing 17 Tigers in Game 1 - a standard that remains unmatched to this day. From that very game comes this full unused ticket that is PSA authenticated and maintains its vibrant color. Gibson tossed a five-hit shutout in outdueling 30-game winner Denny McClain, though Detroit would get the last laugh, taking Game 7 at Busch Stadium with Series MVP Mickey Lolich outdueling Gibson, 4-1.
