1968 The Cream Original Handbill
This NRMT, 8.5x11" handbill for the British blues-rock band "Cream" promotes a performance on Saturday, May 25, 1968 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium with ticket prices listed at $3, $4 and $5 a pop. All three band members appear in the photograph: guitarist and lead vocalist Eric Clapton, bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker. Cream is widely regarded as the world's first notable and functioning supergroup. Their album "Wheels of Fire" was the world's first platinum-selling double album.
