1969 Gil Hodges "Super" Signed First Day Cover
Gil Hodges, the man who guided the Miracle Mets to World Series glory, is the centerpiece of this first day cover, which is part of a framed and matted display. A photo of the Dodgers slugger and eventual manager of the 1969 Mets is included, and it's noteworthy that the cover is postmarked September 24, 1969, three weeks before Hodges' Mets pulled off the startling upset of the Baltimore Orioles in the Fall Classic. The cover is NRMT and the signature is giant-sized, rating 9/10. Comes with an LOA from JSA.
