1969 Syracuse Chiefs International League Championship Ring
This dazzling10-karat gold prize by Balfour was presented to T. Tillotson of the Syracuse Chiefs in 1969. Popular New York Yankee catcher, Thurman Munson played 28 games that season for the IL World Champion Chiefs. Top of the ring is small diamond within a star, surrounded by ivy wreath and the words, “1969 Syracuse Governor’s Cup” in raised lettering. Right shank is “International League” across top banner with baseball players motif below and “IL” in thick raised letters. Opposite shank is the name, “T. Tillotson” on banner with baseball diamond and equipment theme below. Ring is a size 11. EX-MT condition.
