1969 Topps and O-Pee-Chee Hockey Display Boxes
Hockey display boxes from the 60’s are quite rare, and a collection of (2) 1969 boxes – well, you don’t see them! Both boxes are original, present beautifully and are in very collectible condition, save for professionally copied top panels on both. Close examination of the O-Pee-Chee box (‘36 x 10¢ packs’) reveals tape residue around the sides and corners of the box, as well as a tear down the left front corner and the front facing panel (1”), all of which are barely noticeable with the tight and clean cello wrap. The Topps version (‘24 x 10¢ packs’), also tightly wrapped in cello, has tear down the right back corner with minor edge chips but otherwise displays beautifully. All colors on both are bold and bright, with outstanding graphics. Display box collectors know how difficult it is to find these boxes at all, let alone both versions is very collectible condition. Get them, you’ll be glad you did!
