1970's Gerry Cheevers Game Worn Kenesky Goal Pads

1970's Gerry Cheevers Game Worn Kenesky Goal Pads

Battle weary tan leather goalie pads worn by NHL and WHA Hall-of-Fame goaltender Gerry "Cheezy" Cheevers during the mid Seventies. Manufactured by Kenesky as evidenced by a tattered tag attached to the inside of one pad. "Pop" Kenesky and his sons were the preferred suppliers of professional goal pads from the 1950's through the 1970's. Gerry has signed his name in vintage ballpoint on the inside of the other pad. Loads of wear with a few team repairs. Obtained from a back-up goalie with the Cleveland Crusaders who was given the set by Cheevers before Gerry's return to the Bruins.
