1970's Jerry Bugsy Butler New York Rangers Game Worn Jersey
Broadway blueshirts uniform of the New York Rangers worn by both Gene Carr and Jerry Bugsy Butler during the early 1970's. “Rangers” runs diagonally down the chest in drop shadow lettering with number “20” in two-tone tackle twill on the back and arms. Vintage tie-neck styling with original string intact. Tagged in the back hem by Gerry Cosby with the size “48” fly tag attached. Obvious game wear with four large patchwork team repairs but none of the running seen on these older durene uniforms. Has Butler's name on the back but you can see where it read "Carr" previously. Gene Carr wore the number in 1971-72 and part of 1972-73. It was then recycled for use by Jerry Butler for the remainder of 1972-73 and probably into the following season as well.
