1970s Eddie Giacomin "No Fold in Ed's Crease" Original Artwork by Bruce Stark
Eddie Giacomin vs. Philadelphia Flyers, 2-1 New York victory. Original pen and ink by Bruce Stark, an award-winning N.Y. Daily News cartoonist and caricaturist who won two Reuben Awards from the New York Cartoon Society as outstanding cartoonist of the year. Stark is most renowned for his heart-breaking drawing of Roberto Clemente (deliberately half-completed), called "Unfinished Business", after the Pirates star was killed in a plane crash. Entitled "NO FOLD IN ED'S CREASE", the cartoon shows goalie Giacomin making a "save" against a fellow Ranger whose jersey reads," That Late Season RANGER Folderoo". Signed by Stark at top right and bottom left. Top reads "No Fold in Ed's Crease?". Framed to 14x16".
