1970s St. Louis Blues Game Issued Jersey

1970s St. Louis Blues Game Issued Jersey

Crisp circa 1970s St. Louis Blues home white jersey was made for NHL games but never worn and shows no use. Rawlings size 48 tag in collar, loop style fight strap inside; bold Bluenote logo crest across the chest with number 8 on back and both sleeves in blue-on-yellow tackle twill. Though there is no use or name to trace, it would seem very possible that this sweater was made for Blues' fan favorite Barclay Plager, who spent all of his 10 National Hockey League seasons in the Gateway to the West, and his number stands as one of nine retired in franchise history.
